The Astoria/Astoria2 detectors have a serial port for communication. Connect the serial communications cable to the Astoria/Astoria2, attach this converter to the other end of the serial communication cable, and then plug the USB end into a USB port on your computer. Make sure that you have the proper drivers installed on your computer for the converter; otherwise, you won’t be able to connect via the software. Contact Tech Support if you do not have the proper drivers.

NOTE: If you have a serial port on your computer, you do not need this converter; simply connect one end of the serial communication cable to the Astoria/Astoria2 and then connect the other end of the serial communication cable to the serial port on your computer.
